The grapevines are loaded

The 5th month is just around the corner and the old grapevines are loaded with grapes. They will be ready to harvest at the beginning of the 5th biblical month. I will post a video of the grapes. Remember, these are not designer or hybrid grapes. These are the ones left to the elements that rarely ever get pruned and don’t get watered. So far, we have had lambs in time for PassoverBarley in time for Wave Sheaf in the week of UnleavenedWheat in time for ShavuotAnd grapes in time for the 5th month. I will continue to tell you as the other 4 first fruits offerings are ready for harvest, but it’s just a formality. Once we know the barley are the wheat are in their proper season the rest will show up right on time

The next new moon on May 13th

Beginning the biblical day in front of sunset

Boker tov, I was just looking at the moon charts for the new moon coming up and I bumped into the link below for those of you who like me begin the day in front of the sunset (called erev in scripture). Here’s a link that gives the timing of the golden hour! I know for some of you the frustration of having to literally watch the skies is off-putting…..wait! we’re supposed to wait and watch??….yes we are practicing! For what?? Luke 23: 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Mat 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. (the new moon is called and known by the term the sickle moon) 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. Chag Shavuot Sameach

20-25 % of the wild wheat field overlooking the Kineret is past a harvestable stage. I was not prepared for that sight and did not take a sickle with me. A longer video will go up later…for now, I need to shower off the ticks and itchies and cool my body down….it was nearly 90f/32c out on the dry slope. The table the wheat is on is large, like 4 ft. There are about 3 double hand fulls there.
